Stash Terms of Use

Effective October 21, 2026. Applies to the Stash Mac app, the "Stash — Save to Mac" browser extension and this website.

Agreement

By downloading or using Stash, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Stash.

Use of Stash

Stash is free. You may use it for personal and commercial purposes. You must not use Stash to break the law or to break the terms of the websites you save content from, such as X.

Your content

You own what you save. Stash keeps your content on your Mac and does not claim any rights to it. You are responsible for the content you save and for your right to keep it. The Privacy Policy tells how Stash handles your data.

Third-party services

Stash works with websites and services that we do not control, such as X, Hugging Face, jsDelivr and GitHub. Their own terms apply. A change on those services can stop a Stash feature from working.

Updates

The Mac app checks for updates and installs them automatically. We can change, add or remove features at any time.

Backups

You are responsible for backups of your library. Software can fail. Keep a backup of ~/Library/Application Support/Snipper if your library is important to you.

No warranty

Stash is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law permits, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profit or use, that results from your use of Stash. Because Stash is free, our total liability is zero.

Termination

You can stop using Stash at any time. Delete the app, its folder and the extension.

Changes

If these terms change, we update this page and its effective date. If you continue to use Stash after a change, you accept the new terms.
